Pumps & Systems announces two awards for professional excellence in 2009 E-mail

Stories of Success

Pump users are the lifeblood of our magazine, and we want to recognize their hard work and creativity. By combining knowledge and experience with old and new technology, pump users have made many advancements and improvements in the field. The Pumps & Systems editorial team, along with the help of its Editorial Advisory Board, proudly announces its Success Story of the Year Award.

A pump success story is a positive account of a pump or pumping system improvement that saves time and/or money for the organization through improved process efficiency or reliability. Some examples of a pump success story include improving a pump's failure rate, improving the failure rate of a sealing device, reducing energy costs by installing a VFD or other equipment, reducing vibration or pulsation levels on a pump or improving pump controls.

Periodically, we plan to recognize and highlight the best documented success stories. Entries can include individual or team accomplishments and must include statistical proof of the success (including the economic data is optional). We will determine several finalists with the P&S Success Story of the Year featured in our July 2009 issue. Nominations may be made by completing our online form. Deadline for Nominations: April 1, 2009
