FALMOUTH, England (April 22, 2014) – Watson-Marlow Pumps Group is supplying a leading Moscow-based epidemiology research institute with three Flexicon FMB210 fully automatic filling and capping systems. The systems will be at the forefront of providing anti-epidemic drugs for communicable and parasite-borne diseases. The design features modular tool blocks on a central tool platform, and can fill up to 38 micro-tubes per minute and up to 30 bottles (20-100 milliliters) per minute.

Micro-tubes, vials and bottles are processed using a 10-slot star wheel indexing system, which positions the vials with great stability and accuracy in the different working stations. The FMB210 is equipped with sensors that facilitate correct operation and ensure that a missing bottle does not result in subsequent filling/capping.

Flexicon provides peristaltic filling and capping solutions.
