PARSIPPANY, N.J. (Aug. 15, 2014) – The Hydraulic Institute (HI) has entered a training partner agreement with Iwaki America Incorporated that allows both organizations to leverage co-branded educational and training programs designed for pump end-users, distributors and engineering consulting firms. As a part of this training partnership, both companies will sponsor technical webinars and e-learning courses focused on a variety of pump topics as well as host the growing Pump Systems Optimization course to the broad pump end-user marketplace.

John Miersma, president, Iwaki America Inc. notes, “We are excited to be one of HI’s select training partners in North America as it will allow us to enhance both our reputation and capabilities in educating customers on how to improve pump performance and extend product life cycles through technical engineering-driven educational programs.”

As part of this new partnership, Iwaki America Inc. will host HI’s Pump Systems Optimization course on October 16, 2014. This one-day course, which has been attended by over 900 participants in various industries, has helped attending companies save significant dollars in energy costs while reducing maintenance and down time. Although engineers compose a large percentage of course attendees, personnel from maintenance, operations and sales are also well represented. In addition to end users, engineering consulting firms attend the course to gain knowledge and credibility as well as to network with end users to increase business.

“As a host of the Pump Systems Optimization course and the newest HI Training Partner in North America, Iwaki America Inc. is leading the way as a best-in-class pump service center in offering comprehensive pump solutions,” states Mark Sullivan, director of education and marketing, Hydraulic Institute.

Iwaki America Inc. is one of the global centers for the manufacturing and support of Iwaki pumps.

The mission of the Hydraulic Institute is to be a value-adding resource to member companies, engineering consulting firms, and pump users worldwide by developing and delivering comprehensive industry standards, expanding knowledge by providing education and tools for the effective application, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and performance optimization of pumps and pumping systems, and by serving as a forum for the exchange of industry information.
