OKLAHOMA CITY (Aug. 20, 2014) – World Water Works, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of wastewater treatment solutions, has announced that it is a platinum sponsor of the Jammin’ 4 Water event to be held during WEFTEC 2014 on Sept. 27 at the House of Blues in New Orleans, Louisiana. World Water Works Chief Technology Officer Chandler Johnson also will participate in the open-mic amateur event benefitting water-focused charities serving communities around the world.

All proceeds from Jammin’ 4 Water 2014 will go to organizations working for clean water access around the globe, including the WEF Community Service Project, which helps attendees to give back to the WEFTEC host city of New Orleans; Global H20, dedicated to bringing clean water to people in developing countries; Water For People, which helps people in impoverished areas to build and maintain their own reliable, safe water systems; water.org, which helps foster collaboration and innovation throughout the water sector; and Doc Hendley's organization, focused on providing clean water to people in need throughout the world and featured in Pumps & Systems “The Gift of Clean Water” coverage.

During the conference, World Water Works also will release a new technology designed to solve the industry-wide issue of floating or bulking sludge in conventional activated sludge (CAS) wastewater treatment systems. World Water Works also will highlight three of its wastewater treatment solutions: the DEMON, IDEAL MBBR and IDEAL DAF systems.

Jammin’ 4 Water 2014 begins at 6 p.m. with performances starting at 7 p.m.
