GLASGOW, Scotland (March 30, 2015) – SPX has been recognized for its outstanding work as a pump manufacturer by the Pumps Industry Awards (PIA) 2015. Its Glasgow facility, which manufactures ClydeUnion Pumps, has been awarded Manufacturer of the Year at this year’s Annual Pump Industry Awards.

In addition, one of its bright young engineers, Emma Lambert, has been recognized as the Engineer of the Year.

This year’s PIA drew a record number of submissions. After being judged by a panel last December to review the entries, finalists were selected for the awards evening. A public voting throughout January and February determined the winners, who were revealed at the March 19th awards ceremony.
