Candidate 4" Wellwater Pumps in Caustic Environ? 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Greeting Pumpzoneians.

First time poster wonders if anyone has advice on candidate pumps to recover caustic soda (NaOH) laden groundwater from a 4-inch diameter well? 10 gpm continuously with 60-foot lift and open-ended discharge. The well water has pH of about 12 s.u. Very high dissolved silica concentration. Temperature up to 100 degrees F. Some fine sand recovery can be expected.

Sincerely,

1Pumphead

Try www.Durhamgeo.com They make air operated pressure pumps that should work well. They are low cost and relatively low maintenance.

Thanks, CrossT. Yeah, DurhamGeo MPv is a good remediation pump. Almost identical to QED's AP4.

Now I've been asked to spec ify a pump that will work on a 20-degree incline (in an "angled well". Guess I'll ask the DurhamGeo people it the MPV will work. Probably would until the slide gets fouled too much.
