A panel of three experts will facilitate this FREE webinar, which will show attendees the potential applications for an integrated pump drive system, including metering and blending multiple liquid components, feeding filling machines, dosing chemicals into continuous dilution lines and pH control. It will explain the functionality and advantages of purchasing a pump with an integrated drive and control scheme. Using Integrated Vector Drives for Rotary PD Pumps will define the time and capital cost savings of using a single component system that is preconfigured rather than a multiple component system that has to be custom built, configured and programmed. The presenters will explain the advantages of a "vector" drive and the various functions that can be either pre-programmed by the manufacturer or re-programmed by the end user. Attendees will see the difference between a pre-programmed unit and the use of an HMI (Human-Machine Interface) programming panel. Pre-programmed units can also be fitted with potentiometer that can be used for manual speed control or as a scaling device in an automatic model. Scaling can be for minimum or maximum speed or it can be used to change dosing ratios when the unit is pre-programmed in a "follower" mode. The applicability of the integrated pump vector drive crosses many industries: water and wastewater, chemical dilution and dosing, volumetric filling in the food, beverage and consumer chemicals markets, dye and pigment dosing, pH control and application of adhesives or sealants following the speed of a conveyor. The technology is applicable to almost all variable speed, positive displacement pump applications. About The Facilitating Panel Michael L. Dillon is president of seepex, Inc., in Enon, Ohio. A graduate of Ohio University and Wright State University, Dillon is the author of numerous articles on positive displacement and progressive cavity pumps.
