MANSFIELD, Ohio (June 3, 2014) – The Gorman-Rupp Company announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary, National Pump Company (“NPC”), has completed its purchase of the business of Bayou City Pump, Inc. ("BCP") based in Houston, Texas. During 2013, BCP had approximately $16 million in revenue from sales of its products and services through its Houston, Texas headquarters and its service facility location in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The terms of the asset purchase agreement are undisclosed.

MANSFIELD, Ohio (Jan. 17, 2014) - Gorman-Rupp has promoted Scott King to the position of Vice President and General Manager for the Mansfield Division of The Gorman-Rupp Company.

In this capacity, King reports to Group President, Mark Kreinbihl. The Gorman-Rupp Pumps Group consists of Gorman-Rupp Mansfield, Gorman-Rupp Canada, Gorman-Rupp Europe and Gorman-Rupp Africa.

Eighty years ago today, Gorman-Rupp was founded by J.C. Gorman and Herb Rupp, two entrepreneurs who had a chance encounter on the streets of Mansfield, Ohio. That meeting in March 1933 was the formation of what would eventually become one of the premier pump manufacturing organizations in America - and one that would have worldwide impact.
