GOTHENBURG, Sweden - SKF has signed an agreement to acquire Presenso Ltd., a company that develops and deploys artificial intelligence (AI)-based predictive maintenance software. Presenso’s AI capability enables production plants to find and act on anomalies that were previously difficult to detect, automatically and without the need to employ data scientists. Presenso’s competence will be used to strengthen SKF’s rotating equipment performance offer.

GOTHENBURG, Sweden (Nov. 3, 2016)—SKF is investing nearly $17 million (SEK 150 million) in modernizing its cylindrical roller bearing (CRB) manufacturing in Schweinfurt, Germany, according to a statement from the company.

This is the third significant manufacturing investment announced by SKF in the last 18 months, following the announcement of similar investments in Gothenburg, Sweden, and Flowery Branch, Ga., the company said.

CLEVELAND (April 7, 2013) – SKF has extended service further across the globe, with five new SKF Solution Factory facilities that opened in 2012. The global network of sites, which offer knowledge and resources from all SKF technology platforms, now stands at a total of 21, from Moscow (Russia), to Shanghai (China), to Cleveland (USA) to Perth (Australia).

GOTHENBURG (March 27, 2013) – SKF’s newly built bearing factory in Ahmedabad, India was awarded the coveted LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification by IGBC (India Green Building Council). With this certification, the Ahmedabad factory became the first bearing factory in India to be certified by LEED rating and the third SKF facility across the globe to attain a LEED certification.
