MANSFIELD, Ohio (Jan. 17, 2014) - Gorman-Rupp has promoted Scott King to the position of Vice President and General Manager for the Mansfield Division of The Gorman-Rupp Company.

In this capacity, King reports to Group President, Mark Kreinbihl. The Gorman-Rupp Pumps Group consists of Gorman-Rupp Mansfield, Gorman-Rupp Canada, Gorman-Rupp Europe and Gorman-Rupp Africa.

King has 9 years of experience with Gorman-Rupp. Most recently he was serving as Vice President of Operations for the Mansfield Division. Previous positions with the Company include Director of Manufacturing and Manager of Manufacturing.

King’s vast experience is manufacturing and engineering for Gorman-Rupp’s commercial markets and Engineered Systems division will serve him well in his new position.

King holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Michigan.

In his spare time, King is active in the Richland County Community. He is currently serving as Executive Committee President for the Regional Manufacturing Coalition and Vice-Chair of Workforce Partnerships Steering Committee. In addition, he is on the Board of Directors for both the Mansfield Rotary and the Mansfield Rotary Foundation.
