OSAKA, Japan (Feb. 15, 2013) – Torishima Pump Mfg. Co., Ltd. has received orders for circulation water pumps at Linkou Thermal Power Plant - Units 1, 2 and 3 at 800MW each - from Taiwan Power Company. Torishima will be responsible for the manufacture and supply of the nine circulation water pumps.
The Linkou Thermal Power Plant is located in Linkou District in northern Taiwan, approximately 30 kilometers west from central Taipei and will meet the electricity demand for Taipei City and neighboring region.
Taiwan Power Company is a state-owned power utility, providing solely electric transmission and distribution businesses in the whole of Taiwan. And the company has been currently planning to develop modern power plants in order to reduce environmental burdens.
