MARYVILLE, Tenn. – ICC International is deeply saddened to announce that Laura Bishop Lyke, president and CEO of ICC International, passed away peacefully on December 27 after a sudden cardiac event on December 16.

Laura is best described as a strong-willed, visionary leader, whose bravery, loyalty, creativity and resilience were matched by her business acumen, her determination and above all, her passion for her own family, her work family and her community.

Laura took ownership of ICC in 2003, and with the knowledge and support of her employees – several of whom are still with ICC – this business will turn 40 in 2023 as a multi-million-dollar enterprise.

After her family and friends, ICC and its employees were the most important things in Laura's life. She took her position seriously; she was determined to make the DC motor industry stronger by building the best commutators and slip rings in the world. Laura knew that success depends on all ICC employees, and she never failed to give them her unwavering support, which extended to their families, and to the overall community.

Laura’s leadership was a testament to a true growth mindset; her inclusive approach motivated staff to collaborate enthusiastically and collectively for the success of ICC. She expected the best from her employees, while extending grace and exemplifying dedication to continuous improvement.
